      1. to tell you the truth…I am sort of weary of all the he said, she said stuff…I am sitting it out today…..few know for sure until the votes are counted….looks like it could be close….

  12. I’m not Buddhist, so to me, the bridge looks purely festive! Looks like a beautiful region. By the way, I am, however, a native New Yorker – – and now I have to keep that under wraps, since Trump is disgracing our state! If anyone asks, please tell them I’m from Canada or Vermont or something, until Donald goes back to his “reality TV show” and selling steaks through the mail. Sorry! I only meant to write, that I enjoyed these pictures! 🙂

    1. Thanks for visiting. am glad you wrote about the primaries, am watching them keenly as Democracy unfurls itself.Trump however to a foreigner like me seems good for USA. He talks about making America great, that should be a good thing.

Most of these photos could have been taken in the Rocky Mountains in the US except for all the prayer flags even though my neighbor has them flying on her patio all year (instead of prayer flags I have bells). Years ago I was in Kashmir and suddenly realized if I did not know where I was, I would have thought I was in Colorado, USA.

    1. Thank you for your visit and comments. Interesting you compare it to a part of the World which is thousands of miles away. The Tibetan /Buddhist influence lends a lovely character to Ladakh.

    1. Ha ha, yes it was . Am grateful, it made a great Pic, what do you think? From my observation Prayer Flags flutter all over in Ladakh, on Cars/ motorcycles/ trees/ stupas/ stones etc etc..They were always in large numbers, possibly with the thought that atleast one prayer would be heard from hundreds. ( almost like the Sperm theory)

      6. The very basis of most Tibetan teachings are rooted in India.If you see my last blog “ROCK ART”. The connection is apparent in the last picture of the “Hemis Monastery” as well.

      8. my pleasure to do so. I had gone to Ladakh for the Hemis Winter Festival which celebrates the arrival in Ladakh of a saint from the 12th Century called “Naropa:. I was honoured to get a private audience with His Holiness.
