The Magical and Mystical Himalayas are encapsulated in Mythology , Folklore and have for centuries been revered as the ABODE OF GODS .
They are the Origin of Mighty and Holy Rivers like the Ganges, The Indus and the Brahmaputra.
In Sikkim,India and close to the Tibetan Border , beautiful Rhododendron Forests drape the Rocky Slopes of the Mystical Himalayas.
These Enchanting Alpine Forests at a height of over 4000 metres ( approximately 13300 feet) are also home to Unique Flora like the Primulas and Fauna like the Red Panda.
The Dense Mist adds to the Mystery of these Spellbinding Himalayan Forests.
During the winters these very slopes would be covered under a Carpet of Snow.
Enchanted my friends?

I have long been fascinated by the Himalayas, so I truly appreciate you sharing your photos with us. It’s wonderful to be able to able to see these images of the mightiest terrestrial mountains on Earth.
Also, I normally don’t like the cold, but I wouldn’t mind experiencing these mountains in the winter! I know it would be uncomfortable, but seeing them carpeted in snow would be incredible.

Wonderful to see you back Josh. You were missed. Thank you for your lovely comments. You can see them under snow even in summers.

Thank you Mukul! I have been very busy lately, since I’ll be starting graduate school soon and am moving to California in less than a month. I’ve also been trying very hard to teach myself Spanish lately.
If you can see the Himalayas under snow in the summer, then maybe that’s when I’ll go! I imagine the unpredictable weather would make traveling there during the winter very dangerous: even foolish.

Not foolish but not very enjoyable. Was in Ladakh in February and it is bitterly cold.
