Connaught Place is an upscale market built by the British when they built the new  Capital of India ‘ New Delhi ‘ in 1911.

Built in the shape of a horseshoe it  has indeed been Lucky for all who established  their trade here.

The happening  Cha Bar is located on the First floor of Pratap Building  in N Block  of this historic shopping area. It is an intrinsic part of the adjoining and  charming  Oxford Book store.

I write about this Tea Bar as it radiates JOY and HAPPINESS. No one has paid me, nor am I obliged  to write about it.

It is an Enchanting Forest of  food, books and people.

The beautiful colonial architecture of Connaught Place  is evident at the entrance itself.

The Cha Bar is a delightful place buzzing with energy. They serve a vast variety of Tea and an equally extensive range of very affordable snacks.

I  played truant and chose the HOT CHOCOLATE which was absolutely yummy.

The  glistening  modern Cha Bar is getting ready to open its doors. The blue archways lead to the delightful OXFORD bookstore.

The Large Windows remind you of the past, whilst the interiors are smart and Modern .

Within minutes of opening, Cha Bar was chock-a-block Full . The low prices and excellent quality make it a favourite hangout for youngsters in particular.

Tea is called Chai ( or the colloquial Cha)  in Hindi in  India and many other countries in Asia  including Turkey.

  1. My sister has been here . Sadly , I haven’t and for someone who has about ten cups of tea a day or more , this is a shame .
Guru Priyanka …hahaha …I feel like a Radhe Ma cult guru now !

      1. She is a foodie . She needs to start blogging of better still , write a book . No kidding . She was there for Vinod Dua’s daughter’s wedding and she scoured the streets of Delhi and devoured the street food and works !!!
