THREE OF 9 STEPS TO HEAVEN

As we continue past the gorgeous banyan trees  ( do read the previous posts) and hear the  water gurgling  we come close to taking our FIRST THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN.

This is a novel experiment of a restaurant (Greenhouse on the Ridge)   within a restaurant

( OLIVE at Mehrauli, New Delhi).

The visual appeal of the food and the assortment of flavours to follow can be described in only  one word , DIVINE.

As we enter this sweet cottage , the chefs are captured on camera secretly  debating what to unveil for the evening. Little do they know a blogger is now in their midst.

I get a glimpse of the plan and the first three steps. There are two menus, one for vegetarians and the other  for non vegetarians.

The first visual had me rocking with surprise. The first step to heaven had three parts, have a look.

The Duck Egg  in the center is made from EDIBLE CLAY. For the rest I shall  not steal your experience. Taste it yourself.

The white carnations are my link and clues to connect  all the chapters of this series on this amazing experience of  FOOD.

Each course leaves you  gasping for breath . The presentation and tastes will simply blow you away. The sprinkling is fermented garlic, which subtly tingles the taste buds like bubbles of joy.

The food is beautiful inside as well. Have a look for yourselves. This was the second step of this divine experience.

There are  only a total of six cozy  tables  in the restaurant . The Window to Heaven ( the Tasting Lab )  opens its doors only on Thursday night. If you do not plan in advance the evenings are sold out and you need to wait  yet another week.

For  animal lovers  , there exists a 9 STEP plan as well , it is the Vegetarian Menu.

What is excellent is that most of the ingredients grow in farms close to the restaurant in Chattarpur. Organic food with a small carbon footprint.

The chefs magically conjure up  the food right before your eyes . The food is very  fresh as it is placed on your table  within seconds of being prepared.

The “Chocobar” is  something quite different. Am not leaking out any secrets as we move  onto  the third step way to Heaven.
